In this article, we examine the Location Management costs in mobile communication networks utilizing timer-based method. From study of probabilities that a terminal changes number Areas between two calls, identify threshold value 0.7 for Call-to-Mobility Ratio (CMR) below which application method is most appropriate. We characterize valley appearing evolution with timeout period, showing time interval required to reach 90% stabilized grows mobility index, paging cost per Area and movement dimension, opposition behavior presented by achieves minimum costs. The results obtained CMRs suggested show tends disappear within [0.001, 0.7] onedimensional movements [0.2, two-dimensional ones, when normalized 0.3.
